Franz Haas - Lagrein 2017 Ml. 750
From 12 to 18 months
The Merlot vines grow at altitudes varying between 250 and 300 meters above sea level. The soils are mainly of erosive porphyry origin derived from the decomposition of the surrounding rocks. The vineyard exposure varies from south to southwest.
Besides the Pinot Nero, the Merlot represents the most elegance and pleasure in a wine. Like our philosophy the Merlot should show kindness and femininity, keeping it’s structure and body, without seeming to masculine. We vinify the Merlot for many years now, leaving out 3 vintages to give this wine an individual touch. We restarted production with the 2003 vintage and a new label.
