Winery I Balzini
Characteristic
The house was founded in the year 1980 with the planting of the first vineyard on the part of Vincenzo D’Isanto, a Florentine CPA inspired by the desire to produce a wine which would recount a different Tuscany. After a careful analysis of the soil, the specific grape vareities most suited for expressing the potential of the territory were identified and planted.
Vincenzo’s passion then came to involve his wife Antonella who, in 2005, abandoned her previous professional work in order to dedicate herself completely, now with the asssistance of her daughter Diana, to the management of the estate.

Antonella and Vincenzo define themselves as producers for passion, and they like to say that it is not possibile to talk about terroir to describe the quality of a wine if then that territory is not loved, respected, and cared for.
The estate is run by the family, which guarantees the quality level of the production utilizing only its own grapes, carefully cultivated in the vineyard and picked entirely by hand; the vines are worked using solely the ingredients of an organic agriculture. The consistent level of quality over time has enabled the property to win prizes and recognition both in Italy and abroad. In its relations with the market, the estate is both dynamic and flexible, ready to confront new marekts and new challenges.
