Sagrantino grape, properly native variety of Montefalco, is one of Italy's oldest grape, the most rich in tannins and polyphenols. As a result of that a very careful cultivation process is required in order to enhance power and uniqueness of this wine, and in meantime to ensure the right balance and elegance. Very high quality farming system are adopted in vineyard, with yields of 60 quintals per hectare, well below the 80 ones permitted by the regulations.
Colpetrone Sagrantino is produced in three versions: Montefalco Sagrantino dry, sweet and Montefalco Sagrantino Còlpetrone selection, which is the result of recent years studies carried out over this vineyard with so great potential.
Sagrantino Gold
Gòld is the result of years of experience and effords in the vineyards at Montefalco where, thanks to a particular terroir, the Sagrantino wine obtains very original and unique organolectic characteristics. Gòld is the masterpiece of historical vineyards of Santa Maria del Fico and San Marco; exposure and microclimate do the rest, giving the possibility to obtain a structured wine.
