Massolino

The history of the Massolino family and their wine is linked to the history of Serralunga d'Alba in 1896, when Giovanni founded his winery. Giovanni is the first to bring electricity to the town.
An enterprising, tenacious and creative man, the progenitor of a family that has made the combination of inspiration and tradition a reason for pride.
Making wine with passion, in its territory of origin, preserving the typicality of the native vine in the belief that there is a deep and palpable bond between the vines, the hills and the winemakers, made up of affinities cemented by custom to the same places. This is how the Massolino family has been producing wine since 1896, faithful to this philosophy and the ability to innovate in the name of tradition.
After all, true to itself.
In recent years, particular attention has been paid to Riesling. Much loved by the Piedmontese, it has already been proposed by several companies and now also by Massolino who presents it for the first time in the Guide this year with the Stelvin cap, to preserve even more the varietal characteristics of the grape. Riesling is grown by the company in the highest vineyard of the Massolino estate, in Monforte d’Alba, at about 600 meters above sea level, where the microclimate contributes to giving greater freshness and acidity to the wine.
