Siro Buzzetti, a reckless winemaker from Valtellina, in a few years has transformed a hobby into a real profession to be conducted, thanks to his passion for these “heroic” mountain lands, with tenacity and sacrifice. With just under two hectares of vineyards, all cultivated on terraces in the Sassella sub-area between 430 and 500 meters above sea level. exposed to the South, the first bottles placed on the market are those of the 2006 harvest. The grape variety grown is Nebbiolo, called in these areas by the popular term of Chiavennasca. Today, the motto that carries on Siro's work can be summed up in: "Terrazzi Alti is the expression of the natural harmony between the vine and the territory that is typical of cultivating mountain Nebbiolo in Valtellina".
