Val Di Toro

The Podere Val di Toro is located near Grosseto in the Tuscan Maremma, on the top of Poggio La Mozza, about 90 meters above sea level. The area enjoys an excellent microclimate favored by strong winds and good temperature ranges. The soil derives from the disintegration of sandstone rock with an excellent skeleton.
The vineyard was planted by Anna Maria Cruciata and Hugh Constable Maxwell in 2004, followed by the oenologist Maurizio Castelli with whom they share a marked sensitivity towards the environment and the use of winemaking practices of the highest quality. It has a density of about 6000 vines per hectare and the training systems are guyot and spurred cordon.
Of the 25 hectares available, only 10 were planted with vineyards, choosing the best soils and the best exposure to the South, South West.
