La Palazzina
In 1986, the La Palazzina farm was founded, whose seventeenth-century building, which was owned by Count Angiono, was sold in 1929 to the Montà family, headed by grandfather Carlo Giacomo Montà.
In the 1930s the family began the first renovations that allowed the wine production to be successfully restarted until the 1960s.
In the 1980s, the grandchildren, including Leonardo Montà, decide to return to that house and make the decision to replant the vines in light of the positive results obtained in the past. Leonardo, whose passion for viticulture was handed down to him by his grandmother Maria, therefore began to devote himself full time to this activity, personally taking care of all stages of production, from taking care of the land and vineyards to the activity carried out in the cellar. In recent years, also assisted by his sons Francesca and Paolo, he has managed to obtain from the current 4 hectares of vineyards a production of Bramaterra and Coste della Sesia Rosso of quality and true expression of the territory. Bramaterra wines follow a period of maturation in 35-hectolitre Slavonian oak barrels of at least 4 years, 2 instead for the Coste della Sesia, followed by a long aging in bottle before being placed on the market.
