Cantina Terlano

The winery was founded in 1893 thanks to the 24 winemakers of Terlano, who decided to found the cooperative winery. That choice, very innovative at the time, has proved valid up to the present day, and today, thanks to its wine, Terlano is a village known to all lovers of the world. Cantina di Terlano is one of the most avant-garde cooperatives of producers in the whole of South Tyrol. To date, the members are 143 members, cultivating 165 hectares of vineyards, creating an annual production of 1.4 million bottles. For years, together with our partners we have created only quality wines, thanks to this hard work it has earned us fame and recognition on the Italian and international wine market. They only produce DOC wines, which are 30 percent red and 70 percent white. In 2009 we expanded the aging area to 18,000 cubic meters, completely rethinking it also from an architectural point of view. Today, our wines find there all the space they need to grow and develop fully. From the outside, the new wing of the building has a red porphyry cladding, the typical rock of the area that gives our wine a series of distinctive characteristics. The roof of the cellar has been greened and covered with vines, integrating seamlessly into the surrounding cultivated landscape. Their range of wines produced is divided into three clearly differentiated quality lines: the Selezioni, the Vigneti and the Classici. The final pearl that every year a rare wine is produced, aged for at least ten years in our cellars, and designed to give visibility to our philosophy of wine longevity.
