We consider our work as a little contribution to a greater natural scheme: that's why, before doing anything, we listen to nature and we try to follow its necessities. The lands, of about 4 hectares were bought in 2002 regrouping several estates. The farm was created through the recover of fields not cultivated for a long time. Field are contiguous to a creek, the Bolgheri's pit, which delimit the holding on one side. On the place there were 3 old mills, which originally belonged to the Segalari's Castle. The oldest one, named Buselli's Mill, appears in the Lorenese's land cadastre and date back to 1650. It's situated exactly on the creek and it was recently restored and destined to wine cellar. As the oldest one, the superior's mill too was restored and assigned to rural habitation. Mills used to work with the water taken from the trench and collected in to the old millpond, a kind of basin, upstream of the two buildings. On the other side of the estate there is the ruin of another mill, situated under a second millpond.
