Fontanafredda

Born in 1858 from the love story between the King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II and Rosa Vercellana. We have always been a community, united around respect for the land, today with 120 hectares certified as "ORGANIC" that frame the first Narrating Village in Italy. Today Andrea Farinetti describes the Fontanafredda estate as follows: "Fontanafredda is one of the most beautiful wineries in the world and forms a sub-area in the Barolo area. If we were in France it would be considered a monopole ”. 122 hectares, with vineyards, a small church, the royal villa, the rural village, a congress center, the monument cellars, the Mirafiore Foundation, a hotel, woods, a pond and the renowned restaurant of the starred chef Ugo Alciati . Actually calling it just a winery is an understatement, it certainly doesn't convey the idea. The Fontanafredda estate extends along a soft ridge that rises from the plain towards Serralunga d’Alba. The acquisition by Oscar Farinetti in 2008 gave an epochal turning point to the entire estate. Today 100 hectares of vineyards and eight and a half million bottles are many things and many numbers to tell.
