Ca' Bianca
The Ca 'Bianca Winery was founded in 1952 in the Alessandrina part of the Alto Monferrato, today part of the small town of Alice Bel Colle a few kilometers from Acqui Terme. The name is inspired by the local name of the area "al ca 'bianca". The current headquarters of the winery is located in the "Cascina Spagna", a farm purchased in the 1980s with historical origins dating back to the period of the Spanish conflict against France and the Venetian Republic, in the second decade of the 1600s. Its position on the hill high was as strategic as it offered the control of all the passages in the entire valley below. In August 1997, the property was extended by the Cascina Polsino farm by about 9 hectares of vines in a single body in a more prestigious area of the estate. The Ca 'Bianca Tenimenti are spread over an area of more than 24 hectares in a single body gathered in a crown around the winemaking cellar, from whose central point of view they offer an evocative spectacular panorama. The grounds of the estate, formed 13 million years ago, in the Miocene era, with a sandy bottom of an ancient sea, not very deep, are particularly dedicated to the cultivation of vines. Alongside a selection of the estate's vines such as Dolcetto, Gavi, Moscato and Brachetto, the range offers three different types of the vine, typical of the area, Barbera, which here adopts the DOCG Barbera d’Asti.
