Gaja

The Gaja company was founded in 1859. We are in Barbaresco, in the heart of the Langhe, Gaja has always been recognized as a symbol in the production of Barbaresco. Born from the founder Giovanni to Angelo Gaja, the family has been able to establish itself in the world wine world thanks to the quality of its wines. We are in the land of Nebbiolo where great quality and historic wines are born. Angelo Gaja, grandfather, in the 60s, had the merit of renewing traditions and importing new production techniques: from the reduction of production per hectare to greater control of the fermentation temperature, from a careful use of the barrique to the passage of corks longer. In this way, Gaja has been able to keep up with the times, without falling into the error of fossilizing in the wake of tradition. A success, that of Gaja, built with intelligence and intuition, inherited from the rigor and sacrifices of his predecessors and developed and consolidated in recent decades thanks to the formidable guidance of Angelo. The past as an experience, the future as a goal: this is how Gaja has built around itself the image of a strong and essential brand, a symbol of the greatness of Barbaresco and of a wine that knows how to tell the poetry of its territory in the glass. Nicknamed in France "le Roi du Barbaresco". Nobody can deny me Gaja is the Ferrari of wine.
