Behind an ancient door of Soave there is always the privilege of hospitality. The rich tradition of the Soavese land lives on in the signs that man has built over time and in the gestures of daily work, which trace the ancient culture of the vine. Here at the Coffele house, all of this is a reality: the birth of the company marks the recovery of an ancient heritage of Soave, that of the Visco family. Thirty years after the last winemaker, Giuseppe Coffele and Giovanna Visco have given new life to the family's lands and possessions. Fifteen years of tenacious work were needed to restore the predominantly calcareous soil and create rationally cultivable surfaces with complex infrastructures also for automatic fertigation.
With the industrious development of the new plantations and with the attention paid to the grafts and the selected qualities, the innovative sense of Coffele's wine recovery emerges: clonal selections, combinations of various types of the same grapes, search for new balances between vines different. You can taste all this in a quiet corner of the historic center of Soave where the Giuseppe Coffele farm is based, to which 25ha of vineyards refer, divided between Garganega, Trebbiano di Soave and to a lesser extent, Chardonnay and Sauvignon.
