Castello Di Meleto

Castello di Meleto has been welcoming those arriving to Gaiole in Chianti since 1256. A perfect fusion between the past and future, the castle is a superb expression of authentic Tuscany. Castello di Meleto produces prestigious wines, excellent interpretations of the terrior, as well as extra virgin olive oil and raises the heritage pig breed, Cinta Senese. The land of Castello di Meleto extends across 2400 acres, of which 400 are dedicated solely to vineyards. In the recent years, particular attention has been given to studying those soils most ideal for viticulture, thus identifying five separate plots with unique characteristics: Meleto, San Piero, Casi, Poggiarso and Moci.
