Canato

The Canato farm is located on the hills of Vignale Monferrato. At its foot is the ancient "Fons Salera", famous in its time for its precious thermal waters. Historic company, which belonged to the Sisters of the Monastery of San Bartolomeo in 1700, was purchased in part by Bishop Monsignor P.G. in 1740. Caravadossi of the city of Casale Monferrato who acquired the farm, also known as "Baldea". In the 1950s the Canato family began to lead it into sharecropping. Given the excellent wine lands and the potential of the company, the family decided to buy the entire property. Today, Marco Canato leads this 10-hectare company, where the vineyards are cultivated with a rational method to produce quality grapes, to make fine wines with original and typical characteristics.
