Comm. G.B. Burlotto
Our winery bears the name of its founder, Giovan Battista Burlotto, and despite being located in an eighteenth-century building, it has a certain date of birth in 1850 and a specific homeland, Verduno, a historic municipality of Barolo production. On the facade of the building, thirty-two medals with symbols and dates document the pioneering productive and commercial activity of the winery, as well as its notoriety in "wine" Italy at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
Marina, with her husband Giuseppe Alessandria, and their children Fabio and Cristina, therefore represent the fourth and fifth generation at the helm of our company. Which continues today to produce the classic wines of the Alba Langa in the wake of a tradition that we do not intend as the uncritical adoption of an archaic way of working, valid as such; but as a legacy made up of courageous and inspired choices, from which derives a responsibility that we like to assume, just as all the protagonists of the story told so far have done.
