Sergio Barbaglia
It is located in Upper Piedmont, in the geographical area that extends into the northernmost part of the region. From the underlying plain of the "checkered sea" of the rice fields, the view goes up over hilly areas with vines at times, in which the Maggiore, Orta and Mergozzo lakes are set, to break on the 4,600 meters of the Monte Rosa massif. Viticulture has always been an important voice of the local economy, gently shaping the sometimes inaccessible landscape. The main vine has always been Nebbiolo, locally called Spanna, which has its preferred environment in the hills and whose expression varies according to the fluvio-glacial, marine or volcanic soils in which it has its roots. Created by Sergio Barbaglia, a professional oenologist, today the company is also followed by his daughter Silvia who has further strengthened the strong belief in the territory, in its terroir, in the great potential that these wines have in terms of elegance, finesse and longevity. , the part planted with vines is just over 4 hectares. In addition to Boca Doc, wines are made from pure vinification of Croatina, Vespolina and Nebbiolo and, from the only authorized white grape in the area, Greco Novarese (Erbaluce), a white wine.
