The Ermes Pavese company was founded in 1999 in the La Ruine hamlet. Thanks to the advice of Marziano Vevey, historic producer of Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle, the company begins to take its first steps. The vineyards are located at an altitude that varies between 900 and 1200 meters. The vines are ungrafted, the phylloxera has never reached such altitudes. Ermes cultivates and produces the Priè Blanc, the only native white grape variety of the Aosta Valley. Documents from 1200 attest that the Blanc de Morgex vineyards were known. The Prié Blanc, grown on a total DOC area of 29 ha and vinified in the municipalities of Morgex and La Salle, gives life to the Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle Valle d'Aosta DOP, a wine with ancient origins shrouded in an exploding legend in freshness and liveliness; a wine with a young temperament that has spanned centuries and history, presenting itself today as it was born.
