Tenuta San Leonardo - Terre Di San Leonardo 2017 Ml. 750
Winery Tenuta San Leonardo
Characteristic
Then there are the vineyards, 25 hectares in all. Sited at a relatively low elevation of 150 metres, merlot is planted in gravel-rich soils that were once the bed of a branch of the Adige. Sandier, pH-neutral soils, at elevations of 150-200 metres, host cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, and the venerable carmenère vineyards.
Vette di San Leonardo owes its name to the majestic peaks vette in Italian which frame the vineyards that give it birth. The complex minerality and youthful freshness of these mountains are refl ected in Vette’s sensory profile.
Classic Bordeaux style blend, Terre retraces the terroir path trod by its prestigious sibling San Leonardo, matching its intensity and refi ned elegance.
