The passion for the land and the wine is handed down from generation to generation in the family Croci. Going along the Val d'Arda, on the hills of Piacenza just opposite the medieval Castell'Arquato, is the Estate Wine Croci. To manage this small and interesting reality Piacenza, founded in 1935 by Giuseppe Croci are Massimiliano and his father Ermanno.
On the Hill of Monterosso, in the Val d'Arda, 250 meters above sea level, the winery Croci is committed 3 generations and cultivate these lands, in full respect of nature and of the screws. Since joining the company Massimiliano tried to direct the production towards wines that could be of high quality, but at the same time they could keep the typicality of wines from Piacenza: space, then, to grapes such Ortrugo, which is in Croci able to give a version sur lie wonderful, unique. The development and respect for the land are at the heart of the goals of the cellar Croci, driven by these reasons, engages in continuous research by making small tests microvinifications, trying new methods of vinification and aging of local grapes to obtain genuine wines, traceable and excellent. The position favored by sunlight and soil characteristics, lapped by the sea millions of years ago, yield wines that are perfect expression of this corner of the earth. Hectares of vineyards available to the company are ten; in the vineyard is practiced grassing, the treatments are made without the use of toxic and synthetic herbicides and chemical fertilizers, to respect the land, the vine and its natural cycles: in a few words to produce genuine wines and characteristic of Piacenza area.
