The Tramin Winery came to life in 1898 thanks to a cooperative of winemakers. To date there are 290 contributing members. The winery is located in a spectacular corner in South Tyrol. Today we cultivate about 15 hectares of vineyards according to organic and biodynamic regulations in which the grapes are born and mature cared for by the wisdom of mother earth, slowly and with a heavier workload for the members involved. In 2007 the turning point, it was decided to create the top-of-the-range labels in cultivated land without the use of herbicides. The management of these vineyards takes place with the systematic refusal of the use of herbicides, without forcing the balance of the earth and respecting the rhythms dictated by nature. The wine produced in this way is a whole and healthy food, but above all it can reveal itself in a more typical character and linked to the territory. The main objective is to extend the abolition of the use of herbicides to all 230 hectares of cultivation, involving every single owner personally.
