Vernaccia di San Gimignano innovators since 1989: We are guided, with great determination and without compromise, essentially by two inseparable principles: identity - which necessarily means typicality - and quality. Our mission is to create wines of terroir but also for great aging. More than 40 years have now passed since, in 1979, Giovanni Panizzi bought the “Santa Margherita” farm just outside the ancient walls of “San Gimignano”.
There was also a vineyard of a few hectares, with which Giovanni, almost for fun, began to produce wine, with passion and his own style. Becoming the architect of my life, Giovanni emigrated to these Sienese lands with the desire, above all, to find out what was my best part that would certainly come out being in contact with a rural environment like this, imbued with the scent of the countryside and the smell of wine and that of the violets that are born in March at the foot of the cypresses, convincing me that at the age of 50 I still had a new life to invent.
