The Capoverso company was founded in 2000, but our family history in the wine sector has much older origins. My mother's family (Avignonesi) moved to Montepulciano in the 15th century probably from France, with the end of the "Avignonese captivity", and since the local economy was always based on wine, it started its own production, highlighted by the large size of the historic cellar under the building of the same name. At the end of the 70s my father and my mother gave birth to a new company under the name of my mother (Avignonesi in fact), but after a few years they separated and the company was acquired by my father, to whom my uncle is added. The company has an extension of 15.00 Ha, between Cortona and Montepulciano, on the hills facing the town. Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Merlot, Cabernet and Syrah are grown.
