Le Chiuse - Rosso Di Montalcino 2022 Ml. 750
Winery Le Chiuse
Characteristic
For many it is the little brother of Brunello di Montalcino, but for us Rosso di Montalcino is a wine of distinct personality. Coming out in the second year after the harvest, it is the youngest of our wines, meaning that it is also the wine that best expresses the varietal character of Sangiovese in its juiciness and freshness. Unlike Brunello, it’s essential that the Rosso shows greater balance and smoothness from the start, which is why we tend to use larger grape bunches in order to achieve lower tannic concentration in a shorter period of maturation. Yet we guarantee the same quality level as Brunello in a wine coming from the same vineyards where yields are less than 50 quintals per hectare After aging for about a year in large Slavonian oak barrels, the wine is bottled and put on the market. In our lives it is an important wine because it is the bottle we uncork every day, not only for its agility and ease of drinking but also and above all for its great versatility in pairing with food, able to bring joy and harmony to every meal.
